Vet Recommended Diets (VRD) was set up by a practising vet - Dreyer Schoeman MRCVS - who noticed a constant stream of pet owners coming in whose pets were suffering a range of ailments caused by poor diet.  He realised that this was because the only available premium quality foods were prohibitively expensive.

The company took shape when Dreyer approached one of his customers - Claire Sharp - who is a successful dog breeder / exhibitor / judge and asked if she would like to help him set up the business and thus, in October 2010, VRD was born.

 

The goal of the company was to produce premium quality pet food at affordable prices.

We are going from strength to strength.  Our customer service is second to none - we always aim for our food to be delivered within 2 working days and we have a growing number of satisfied customers.

In November 2012, Dreyer decided to concentrate on other interests and handed the reins of the company to Claire and husband, Lee.

We have been the proud sponsors of several events - from Companion Shows to Breed Championship Shows and our family of customers is continuing to grow.
